Founder and Creative Director Shiv Rennie began The One Six in 2022 to solve a challenge - the decision fatigue she, like many women, faced each day when trying to choose *just* the right look.
A time-poor entrepreneurial mum of three, her attention was drawn to how she could curate high rotation, everyday luxury that would help give her, and women everywhere, much-needed time and headspace back.
Equally born out of frustration with the abhorrent waste of the fast fashion industry, the label exists to be an antidote to rampant consumerism by embracing environmental sustainability, social responsibility and local craftsmanship - in order to leave a better future for generations to come.
Exuding a quiet luxury, the label’s limited edition pieces are intended to last and be worn time and time again. Rennie's first and second slowly produced collections, the AW23 ‘Premiere’ and SS23 'Bleuge', received strong pickup and positive support, featuring in marie claire, the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian Women’s Weekly, WHO Magazine, and now stocked in retailers in Australia and overseas.
